Brief Job Description:
NC State University’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences is currently seeking to fill the role of Director of Communications and Marketing. With more than 4,500 students, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences is the second largest on NC State’s campus and is home to 10 academic units. The mission of the college is to support the research, education, scholarship and engagement that advance frontiers of knowledge in the college’s disciplines and programs, which impacts the human condition and problems facing local communities, the nation and the world as well as develop future leaders and global citizens.
The director reports directly to the Dean and leads the development and implementation of communications (both internally and externally) and marketing strategy to support institutional goals and objectives. They lead a team of communicators who work to enhance the college’s identity, support students and faculty, engage alumni, align strategic communications and support fundraising goals.
