Philanthropy Manager, Conservation Trust for North Carolina

Brief Job Description:

The Philanthropy Manager position serves a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the Philanthropy Department toward achieving an annual goal of $1,000,000+ in contributed revenue. The Philanthropy Manager will be responsible for cultivating and stewarding donors to reach at least $75,000 raised annually toward the overall goal.

The Philanthropy team is responsible for meeting fundraising metrics and goals through effective and efficient management of CTNC’s donor stewardship and sustainer programs, constituent management, and prospect research. This position will serve in a public-facing role regularly interacting with prospects and donors through digital and in-person opportunities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for CTNC’s mission, vision, and goals as well as excitement to advance their career in philanthropy and donor stewardship. CTNC has set ambitious goals to grow the organization over the next two years. If the Philanthropy team is able to meet or exceed these goals, there is potential for this position to advance to an expanded philanthropy role with additional responsibilities.

This position may be seen as a pathway into the field of nonprofit fundraising and management. While candidates with philanthropy experience may exhibit the qualifications listed below at the outset, we are open to applicants who lack specific philanthropy experience but show the motivation and aptitude to learn and grow quickly into this role.

Brief Job Description:

This temporary position will be assigned to the NC Wildlife Resources Commission Office of Communications, Marketing and Digital Engagement (CMDE). This position serves as the official videographer of the NCWRC housed within the agency’s CMDE Section. Under the Internal Communications Specialist, the videographer will inspire, develop and implement an engaging video strategy to increase public awareness of NCWRC and its various programs, services and initiatives. This position is responsible for using an array of tools and platforms to create and produce high-quality, engaging wildlife-related videos that can be distributed through a variety of digital outlets from concept to final edit, along with maintaining a video catalog and searchable archive. This position requires creative spark and leadership in video development, production, project management and collaboration.

  • Maintain and improve upon Durham Public Schools’ presence across social channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram) by developing editorial content and timelines; set performance goals and design metrics to monitor progress.
  • Write compelling and attention-getting copy for social channels, web pages, digital ads, email solicitations.
  • Function as an online community manager by cultivating social interactions across channels and across multiple communities and audiences; design social chats and engage regularly with social audiences.
  • Develop goal-oriented direct response communications to multiple, diverse stakeholders and ensure content and messaging are aligned to program goals and organizational brand.
